ANCIENT ROBOT

Ancient Robot is an independent record label and music production company based in Montreal, Canada. It is the creative imprint of musician, composer and ethnomusicologist John Constantinides. The label's current roster features Constantinides' DJ/producer alter ego Smoked Meat Fax Machine, his various collaborations (Natural Twenties, Les Tristes Tropiques) and a select list of artists (E150, The VME). It may expand at any time to include other acts.

Ancient Robot music lends itself well to visual media, from web to film to video games to art installations. We've found ourselves collaborating with video performance artists and producing music for short films, web-based product demos and vernissages.
